There are only 95 days left until one of the most - if not the most - important elections in the history of the United States. In some states, absentee ballots are soon going out, and early voting starts in other states soon after that.

In order to increase our capacity and expand our reach as Election Day gets closer, we need your help. With your committed and generous support, we’ll be able to increase the hours of part-time staff and enlist more volunteers to help us produce materials and distribute them by mail, email, videos, and social media. These resources deal with voter registration, voter information, voter education, voter mobilization, and voter protection, all of which will be useful to churches, ministries, and nonprofit faith-based organizations who want to get more involved in nonpartisan activities in the upcoming elections.

Together, we can inform, inspire, and involve more Disciples and other people of faith, conscience, and good will to participate actively in this incredibly important election.

This is no time to sit back or be complacent. Individual people of faith are members of diverse faith traditions. But we are also concerned citizens who participate in making decisions about our elected leaders and making sure that our democratic system works for everyone. We therefore encourage all people of faith - including you - to get involved in the electoral process as fast and as much as you possibly can. Each of us can and should be active in as many election-related activities as we possibly can, whether partisan or nonpartisan.

On the partisan side of things, for example, people of faith as individuals can join a campaign, make calls or send texts, knock on doors, and find other ways to put your free time and political values into action on behalf of the candidates that they most support.

On the nonpartisan side of things, people of faith can help people register to vote, encourage people to get out and vote, help people get to the polls, be a poll worker, help voters who might confront difficulties exercising their right to vote, and help diffuse tense situations at polling places should they occur. And congregations, ministries, and nonprofit faith-based organizations are free to promote all of these nonpartisan election activities.
